Whether corporate or church groups, families, or individuals, volunteers help Building Shalom build—build blighted neighborhoods into beautiful and beloved neighborhoods. If you like sharing your time and giftings to build up your neighbors and community, we'd love to have you become a part of the Building Shalom team. We have opportunities for volunteers who want to volunteer regularly or for a one-time experience.

Construction & Rehab
Do you have skills you can use to help us with housing projects? You can get connected with our Project Manager and learn about opportunities where you can help us on current or upcoming housing projects.

Events
Do you enjoy being a part of planning and executing events?

Through volunteering to help Building Shalom host events, you can use your talents/gifts to help the organization express and embody warmth and hospitality at every event. From logistics to break down and set up teams, Building Shalom would love to have you help us be hospitable.

1-on-1 Coaching
Do you enjoy supporting and helping people hit their goals?

Becoming a "Building Coach" helps us help our neighbors throughout their journey to becoming homeowner.

Installing Private Fence

Help us finish installing a privacy fence at our latest housing project! Opportunities are available to volunteer on Monday, August 26th, and Wednesday, August 28th afternoons.

We need volunteers to finish out this housing project's privacy fence!

Tip Top Park Blitz

Come on out and help us do some beautification and prep work for the future development of Tip Top Park!

We'll have be painting, cutting down trees, hauling brush, weedeating, setting up parking areas and creating clear signage for traffic flow (and more)!

Spruce & Spring Decoration Party

Do you like decorating for Christmas? Well, we have a whole park for you to set up! Come help us set up Tip Top Park for our annual Christmas Tree Lighting! We'll work and party/have fun together getting ready for the annual South Rocky Mount Christmas Tree Lighting!
